Clean, comfortable, convenient - great value for money
Always stay here when in Glasgow. Great location for easy access to both town centre and west end. Comfortable beds and great cooked breakfast. Rooms vary in size and are basic but have everything you need including safe, hairdryer and tea/coffee. My only small gripe - I can live with the towels not being changed every day unless they need it but really really do want my dirty coffee cup exchanged for a fresh one! Friendly hotel in a great location
We had a very warm welcome from Alan who recommended some places to eat and things to do. The room was very comfortable if a little small for all the furniture in it, lots of it could just come out in our opinion to give more room around the bed etc! Ensuite was nice and modern. The room for us was hot at night even on a cool Scottish summer's day but there was a fan so that helped. Brilliant location for us were at SWG3 all weekend and it was an easy and safe walk there and back also so close to Kelvingrove Park and lots of nice historic roads with beautiful buildings. Comfy and quiet in great location
Lovely hotel on quiet street close to Kelvingrove Park and easy walk to city centre and Finnieston. Blackout curtains, great for Summer sunrises at 4.30am, and super comfy bed. Long weekend in Glasgow
Location was good, especially if you want to go to Kelvingrove Museum and it was perfectly safe. The bed was comfy, room was adequate size even if I only had a single bed and the staff friendly. If I am going to Glasgow again, I would stay at this lovely place again.

Lovely hotel, homely feel with great manager Kevin looking after us the whole weekend. Breakfast was fab, would definitely recommend having. Very friendly, clean, great service
Kevin hosted us with humour, charm and efficiency at check in at 9.30pm and at breakfast. The Glasgow humour is not to be missed! Room was spacious, clean and well equipped (no shampoo etc but not a problem for me as I always take my own). Walls are a bit thin - next door's late TV watching briefly woke my husband. Great little hotel

Nice place & kind people
The hotel is situated in a very nice neighborhood. Staff is very friendly and respond very fast to requests (i.e. request for an additional towel or blanket). The hotel is easily approached via public transportation, 7-day supermarket is nearby. Walls are not sound proof, so if you are very sensitive with the sound, the place is not recommended. We are not supersensitive to noise, and despite we could listen to our neighbor's alarm, we didn't encounter noise problems. The prices were very rational for the area. Loved our stay at the Acorn! Cozy rooms, great water pressure in the shower, great service. The only issue we had was figuring out where to park during the day. Nice small hotel in a central but quiet location, you can walk to Kelvingrove Park in 5 minutes and to the shopping area in 20 minutes. Excellent service from attentive and friendly staff who gave us very good tips for sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
