Very friendly, clean, great service Kevin hosted us with humour, charm and efficiency at check in at 9.30pm and at breakfast. The Glasgow humour is not to be missed! Room was spacious, clean and well equipped (no shampoo etc but not a problem for me as I always take my own). Walls are a bit thin - next door's late TV watching briefly woke my husband. Road was v quiet, parking on street v handy, and Kevin gave great advice for nearby day-long parking. Will definitely stay again when in Glasgow :)

Great little hotel The hotel is close to our Glasgow office. I find they have really friendly staff, easy check in process, nice comfortable room at a reasonable price. Close to amenities so easy to walk to a restaurant in the evening and Glasgow centre. I recommend this place.

Nice place & kind people The hotel is situated in a very nice neighborhood. Staff is very friendly and respond very fast to requests (i.e. request for an additional towel or blanket). The hotel is easily approached via public transportation, 7-day supermarket is nearby. Walls are not sound proof, so if you are very sensitive with the sound, the place is not recommended. We are not supersensitive to noise, and despite we could listen to our neighbor's alarm, we didn't encounter noise problems. The prices were very rational for the area. Breakfast items (tee, coffee, chocolate etc) were provided in the room for free. I could definitely visit this place again.

Great place to stay in Glasgow We stayed here for a weekend and it was very nice indeed. The host couldn’t do enough for you (Kevin), he was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated, near lots of bars and restaurant. In fact there is a restaurant below the hotel which is great. The room was adequate and the breakfast was extremely good. All in all it was a good stay.

Perfect Location The position was ideal, close to many west end restaurants, bars and cafes. It was also walking distance to the city centre. We did not have breakfast but this suited us. It was very quiet in our room, double glazing meant there was no traffic noise. The room was small however for the cost we felt it was great value.

A perfect place for a visit to the University of Glasgow. Acorn Hotel is a nice, classic Scottish hotel, with small, but fair enough sized rooms, clean bathroom and public spaces, friendly staff, and nice warm as well as continental breakfast. Located close to the university, it perfectly served my interests.

Really great small hotel near the West end & UoG. Kevin on reception & in the kitchen for breakfast is fantastic. Always pleasant, always gives us a warm welcome & nothing is too much trouble. The rooms & beds are comfortable & the breakfast, cooked by Kevin, really set you up for the day. We love staying here when we come to Glasgow, & look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful location next to the park. The service was stand out. I never got the gentleman's name who took care of my during my three days, but he was amazing. Friendly, helpful, cooked me specialty breakfast (I'm vegetarian with a dairy allergy). He got me special milk and eggs. Just a lovely man. The room was small, but it was all I needed as a single traveler. Shower was awesome. The walls were thin, I could hear other people talking in their rooms, but the neighborhood was quiet. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay here. It has everything you want out of a hotel: great location within walking distance of Kelvingrove as well as rail and buses to get to places more out of reach; quiet and spacious rooms with nice views, comfortable beds, and blackout curtains (very important if you're staying during the summer when it's ony dark for about 6 hours); delicious breakfast, continental and cooked. But what really set it apart was the incredible service. One of the managers Kevin went above and beyond in every way. He gave us suggestions and helped us navigate our future travels to Edinburgh. At breakfast (which he personally cooked) he made the atmosphere so warm and social. And he was just a delight to talk to and get to know. It's those personal touches that go a long way. You won't just have a good night's sleep or a great breakfast here - you'll make friends and memories.

Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great location on the West End with short walks to restaurants and bars in the Finnieston area of Glasgow. Getting to most rooms required hauling luggage up a long flight of stairs (typical of Scotish hotels I guess). My single room was small but comfortable. Price was very fair and I would stay here again.

The room was a nice size with all the things I needed and the hotel is well placed for Kelvingrove activities and an easy stroll to city centre. Staff were helpful and the area was quiet.
