EXCELLENTBased on 1153 reviewsVerifiedAnna L2024-11-23Super stay- wonderful service! Just had a fabulous stay at The Acorn Hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable and the location is really great. But the absolute highlight was the service- Kevin at reception is an absolute legend! With a smile that lights up your day and with insider knowledge of what to do and where to go while visiting Glasgow, garnered from his years of experience in hospitality he made our trip! Thank you Kevin and looking forward to coming back again soonVerifiedCarl2024-11-23Excellent experience Travelled solo to Glasgow this winter for three nights and found this hotel to be in an excellent location; only a short walk away from grocery shops, the train station, and the city center. The room felt very safe, and was clean and looked after. A big thank you to Alan and Kevin at reception for their friendliness and excellent service through my stay ! Would return here for future visits and would definitely recommend for solo travellersVerifiedMartin S2024-11-19Secure hotel in great area. Great location. Easy walk to city centre (20 mins), Argyll Street pubs and restaurants for pre-gig meal (8 mins) and SECC just a little bit further. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. Great breakfast included. Kevin is a very friendly host and a dab hand at the breakfasts.Verifiedjkobailey2024-11-18Great little hotel Great location, beautifully clean, great breakfast made to order, and lovely staff. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a newly refurbished en suite. Great value for money. Kevin the manager welcomed us very warmly, and was extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay. His local knowledge was very helpful too. Super little hotel and I’d definitely stay again.VerifiedScott F2024-11-05Nick Cave A one night stay as it was a Sunday night and Glasgow, despite its claims, is utter dross for transport. A very nice hotel, great location, and very clean and comfy. A specific mention to Kevin who we woke up in the middle of the night as our cards wouldn't work in the door - charming gentleman and seemed to be running the place on his own.VerifiedElaine B2024-11-03Great hotel, great location This hotel is in a perfect position. Just on the edge of the busyness(sp), but 5 minutes walk takes you to loads of pubs, restaurants and clubs. We were going to a gig at the garage (the attic) so was a brilliant location for us. It's a fab hotel and Kevin on reception is so lovely. Thanks for making our stay so lovely.VerifiedMartin H2024-11-03Great spot for a Glasgow City break. Good location, friendly staff, parking at the temple was very secure, for a few days in the city it is an excellent choice of hotel. I work in a hotel myself and I want to say their housekeeping team do a fabulous job, everything immaculate. Very kind and helpful man at the front desk who checked me in and out. Safety is priority when I’m in hotels alone, was really glad to see you have to be buzzed in or use your keycard to even enter. Hair straighteners in the room, that was so useful as I’d forgotten mine. Missed breakfast unfortunately but I will be coming back! Thank you :•) ♡VerifiedLorna Dunn2024-10-29Fantastic location This hotel is amazing value for money. I love the location: it's right next to Kelvingrove Park and is peaceful. The view from my single room was beautiful. I could also walk to the city centre in 20 minutes. The staff are great. They're friendly and extremely helpful.VerifiedViv L2024-10-28Great stay Good location to great western road, staff very friendly, room was very clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Full Scottish Breakfast was spot on, not greasy and there was loads to choose from, thoroughly enjoyed the stay and if in the area again would 100% choose this hotel again.

Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed. It's in a quiet location right next to Kelvingrove Park, but still within reasonable walking distance to shops, restaurants, and train stations. I rented a bicycle for the week and found it easy to get around with Elderslie St being a great N/S cycling corridor and making for an easy connection to Anderston Station. Would gladly stay here again in the future.Mary Zirmer2024-11-17Great stay with really helpful Kevin on the reception desk and a lovely, well apointed, immaculately clean bedroom. Very competative price and free street parking at the weekend. Next time I'm in Glasgow I will definately stay here and would very happily recomend it to anyone.martobhoy2024-11-16A clean fresh room. We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was nicer than the online pictures showed (which is rare for a hotel, in my experience!) and very cozy. The gentlemen who worked at the front desk helped us find shops and destinations around Glasgow, and the location near the park was convenient for morning jogs. We would have liked to stay for three more nights and will gladly stay here again the next time we're in Glasgow.Julie Cassidy2024-10-20I love this hotel. Comfy rooms, friendly staff.
