Exit the M8 following signs for North St (A804)
Follow North Street until you reach the large Charing Cross traffic light interchange
Keep left and bear left onto Woodlands Road
Take the second left onto Lyndoch Street
Take the first left onto Lyndoch Terrace
Turn right onto Woodside Terrace and then bear left onto Elderslie Street. You’ll find our hotel at the bottom of the hill on the left-hand side.
Exit the M8 at Junction 18 for Charing Cross.
Keep right at the traffic lights and take the first right to cross to the other side of the junction.
Keep left after crossing and continue on to Woodlands Road
Take the second left onto Lyndoch Street
Take the first left onto Lyndoch Terrace
Turn right onto Woodside Terrace and then bear left onto Elderslie Street. You’ll find our hotel at the bottom of the hill on the left-hand side.
The Acorn Hotel is in the upmarket Park Glasgow locale, and is ideally situated for all major routes into Glasgow, including Prestwick Airport.
Driving instructions: upon leaving the airport, take the A77 towards Glasgow. The A77 merges onto the M77 and you should drive along this road for around 13 miles. Next, take the lane leading to M8 Glasgow/City Centre. You should exit the M8 following signs for the A82, then continue onto the A804 and turn left at Berkeley Street. Drive along Berkley Street and follow the road as it turns right. At the traffic lights, take a right onto Sauchiehall Street. At the traffic lights soon after, take a left onto Elderslie Street, where you will find our hotel.
Alternative modes of transport: The X77 bus service run by Stagecoach operates a route between Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow to Prestwick Airport. The service runs 06:45 – 22:40 with a journey time of 50 minutes and buses are up to every half hour (hourly on Sundays). For those travelling on early or late flights, there is an additional service, the X99, which departs from Glasgow at 23:59 and 03:30.
Taxis are abundantly available either to pre-book or flag down in the city centre or from Glasgow International Airport. Costs may vary and start at around £6 from the city centre and £22 from the airport. Taxis from Edinburgh cost considerably more but the two cities are serviced by a regular train and bus link with prices starting from around £9.00 one way.
There is plenty of street parking outside the hotel which is free from 6pm-8am Monday-Friday and free all day Saturday and Sunday. Parking can be paid via the local Ringgo App or by the meters outside the hotel. There is also a car park situated at Berkeley Street where you can park all day for £6.00.
