Glasgow’s upcoming September Festivals & Events roundup

So far, it’s been a year of the festival in Glasgow, there have been so many events to enjoy and celebrate, and festivals to enjoy since January 2022 as we ease ourselves back into post restrictions normality.

Now that festivals are back, let’s have a look at what’s yet to enjoy as autumn and winter approach in Glasgow.

A free festival that has been an incredible success in the past, it celebrates the heritage of Scotland’s buildings and spaces, making it accessible during September for visitors and locals. A combination of digital and in person events will be part of this year’s calendar of events in Glasgow. The doors of over 100 historic buildings, and other buildings of interest including museums and breweries will open for free. What an exciting time to visit Glasgow!

Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival 2022

The University of Glasgow presents a two-week festival of ideas celebrating the opening of the ARC. The festival programme will run events for families of all ages and adults as well as display several exhibitions. Highlights include ‘Life in Lockdown: Illustrated findings from Scotland’, as well as open campus tours and the chance to see scientists at work.

Glasgow Cathedral Festival

Glasgow’s oldest building comes to life over these few days as it unveils an exciting programme of events for all to enjoy. Not only will the venue be filled with the sounds of traditional Scottish music, but it will also welcome new and emerging artists to deliver what are bound to be spectacular performances.
