They describe themselves as “Mór than just a great bar”, and who are we to argue? One of Glasgow’s most popular entertainment venues is found at the top of Byres Road, and offers an incredible mix of live music, dining, theatre, entertainment and so much more. You may even be staying with us in advance of attending a wedding or corporate event there. A must visit for night owls in Glasgow.
Just 20 minutes by foot from the Acorn Hotel is one of Glasgow’s most diverse and distinctive venues, SWG3. Located in Finnieston, it offers a mix of creative spaces for work, play, entertainment and more. A popular event includes Bongo’s Bingo, which really cannot be explained, it must be experienced! Isn’t it amazing to this that this venue is almost 100 years old? This iconic open-air venue which consists of a bandstand and amphitheatre can be found in Kelvingrove Park, just a short hop from the Acorn Hotel. Many local and visiting bands and choirs can be heard performing there on any given day.

Comedy Clubs
Open 7 nights a week for comedy and is the only full-time comedy club in Glasgow. Located in the west end of the city, weekend nights are premium and tend to book up quickly due to limited space.
This comedy club is located inside the north rotunda at entertainment quay, adjacent to the SEC Hydro, Glasgow. They operate a great comedy dinner show and alumni from their early days include Alan Carr and John Bishop, not bad! Disabled access at the venue.
Another comedy club relieved to be back open as we emerge from the restrictions of Covid 19, it’s located in Renfrew Street, Glasgow. Hilarious stand-up comedians perform every weekend a wide range of beverages are available to pre-book at the Glee bar.
Bingo Halls & Casinos
Affectionately known as “the friendliest Bingo in Glasgow” you’ll find the venue for a great night of entertainment, just 100 yards west of Partrick Cross. Fondly referred to as “Glasgow’s friendliest Bingo,” a visit here promises an evening of delightful entertainment, conveniently situated just 100 yards west of Partick Cross.
Open from 11:30am to 11:pm Midweek, and up to 1:00am at weekends, you’ll always find time to catch a game of Bingo here. You’ll find them in Possil Park Glasgow, and there’s food and drink available to enjoy without having to leave the venue.
