EXCELLENT Based on 1154 reviews StubbingtonBob2024-12-09Verified Great place to stop - easy access to the heart of the city, Just back from 3 nights stay at the Acorn. What a great hotel. Ideally placed within easy walking distance to the city centre and close to Kelvingrove Park with its museum and art gallery. On arrival we were greeted by Alan who was extremely helpful on checking in and gave us great tips on local bars etc. The rooms were a good size, very clean, warm and the bed was excellent. Great free wi-fi coverage. We breakfasted on 2 mornings and there was an excellent choice, more than enough. Coffee was good. One little niggle, the cooked breakfast would be tip top if the quality of the sausage was improved. Would we stay at the Acorn again if visiting Glasgow? 100% yes. pickoneweave2024-12-09Verified Perfec t. This was a great stay in many ways! Comfortable and easy. The location was perferct for my needs and the area was fantastic for great places to eat. Breakfast was perfect ... not over loaded and cooked as we waited. This was a great experience and I am very happy to say I will be back. Apologies, but I cant remember the name of the chap on reception but he was the perfect host - 10/10! Mark J2024-11-29Verified Fantastic Hotel Very clean hotel, room was immaculate. TV in the shower which was cool. Beds were comfy and staff very friendly. Was only a short walk to the arena as well as we were there for a concert which was great. Very good price and value for money. Would definitely stop here again 👍🏻. Anna L2024-11-23Verified Super stay- wonderful service! Just had a fabulous stay at The Acorn Hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable and the location is really great. But the absolute highlight was the service- Kevin at reception is an absolute legend! With a smile that lights up your day and with insider knowledge of what to do and where to go while visiting Glasgow, garnered from his years of experience in hospitality he made our trip! Thank you Kevin and looking forward to coming back again soon Carl2024-11-23Verified Excellent experience Travelled solo to Glasgow this winter for three nights and found this hotel to be in an excellent location; only a short walk away from grocery shops, the train station, and the city center. The room felt very safe, and was clean and looked after. A big thank you to Alan and Kevin at reception for their friendliness and excellent service through my stay ! Would return here for future visits and would definitely recommend for solo travellers Martin S2024-11-19Verified Secure hotel in great area. Great location. Easy walk to city centre (20 mins), Argyll Street pubs and restaurants for pre-gig meal (8 mins) and SECC just a little bit further. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. Great breakfast included. Kevin is a very friendly host and a dab hand at the breakfasts. jkobailey2024-11-18Verified Great little hotel Great location, beautifully clean, great breakfast made to order, and lovely staff. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a newly refurbished en suite. Great value for money. Kevin the manager welcomed us very warmly, and was extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay. His local knowledge was very helpful too. Super little hotel and I’d definitely stay again. Scott F2024-11-05Verified Nick Cave A one night stay as it was a Sunday night and Glasgow, despite its claims, is utter dross for transport. A very nice hotel, great location, and very clean and comfy. A specific mention to Kevin who we woke up in the middle of the night as our cards wouldn't work in the door - charming gentleman and seemed to be running the place on his own. Elaine B2024-11-03Verified Great hotel, great location This hotel is in a perfect position. Just on the edge of the busyness(sp), but 5 minutes walk takes you to loads of pubs, restaurants and clubs. We were going to a gig at the garage (the attic) so was a brilliant location for us. It's a fab hotel and Kevin on reception is so lovely. Thanks for making our stay so lovely. Martin H2024-11-03Verified Great spot for a Glasgow City break. Good location, friendly staff, parking at the temple was very secure, for a few days in the city it is an excellent choice of hotel. EXCELLENT Based on 478 reviews Yoann Voyau2024-11-30 Extremely good value compare to the big brands, nice, confortable and clean room, neat bathroom, close to the city centre. Highly recommend Gary Smith2024-11-27 We could not fault the location, the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room, the quality of the breakfast....etc. etc. Etc. Everything was perfect. Be Happy Ciara Corcoran2024-11-25 This is my first time staying here, but hopefully not the last. The hotel's exterior is immaculate and doesn't disappoint on the inside. I don't think that I've ever seem rooms and bathrooms as spotless. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast set us up well for the day. Kevin the duty manager was a breath of fresh air, helpful, professional and good humoured. Super place to stay. Anna Logan2024-11-23 Just had a fabulous stay at The Acorn Hotel. Matthew Villers2024-11-19 Had to book an emergency trip for family stuff, and Acorn helped me make the best of otherwise tough circumstances. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed. It's in a quiet location right next to Kelvingrove Park, but still within reasonable walking distance to shops, restaurants, and train stations. I rented a bicycle for the week and found it easy to get around with Elderslie St being a great N/S cycling corridor and making for an easy connection to Anderston Station. Would gladly stay here again in the future. Mary Zirmer2024-11-17 Great stay with really helpful Kevin on the reception desk and a lovely, well apointed, immaculately clean bedroom. Very competative price and free street parking at the weekend. Next time I'm in Glasgow I will definately stay here and would very happily recomend it to anyone.
