ExcellentBased on 1139 reviewsVerifiedIain G2024-09-18Pleasant stay Easy to get to from the East /Perth direction and was luck to get parking on street outside. Friendly greeting on arrival and rooms clean with nice views from window. We were in a rush to get on the move in the morning and had not taken the opportunity to try out the breakfast which looked well presented and extensive.Verified426stuart2024-09-13An ideal hotel Very clean and a most welcoming hotel ideally situated to be close enough to walk into the city centre but be in a quiet area. The staff are most helpful and the breakfasts are excellent that set you up for the rest of the day. Returning in the evening to a well turned out cosy room is perfect after a good day in the city, we highly recommend the Acorn hotel and we shall return again soon.VerifiedVijay K2024-09-12Great stay at Acorn Hotel Greet stay , clean rooms , adequate location . Kevin ( Manager & Chef) absolutely brilliant , top man . 5 star service provided , very helpful . Definitely recommend this hotel , will be booking again on my future visits to Glasgow. Nothing was too much for Kevin , very friendly , and his poached eggs , great art in cooking , superb .VerifiedLakeGeezer2024-09-09Nice place to stay Nice, quiet hotel in quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds, clean, great breakfast. Perfect location for walking in the park. Good eating close by and short walk to busses and museums. A bit hot though, even with window open on a cool night.Verifiedmarilyn r2024-09-06All is covered in the above hopefully. Good value for money, I had a very pleasant stay. There is so much to see in Gla. I can't fault the Acorn hotel for cleanliness, food and facilities. Everything I needed was present. I found the location, next to a park, and out of the busyness of the city centre, particularly attractive. Staff were courteous and helpful and efficient. I would return there gladly.Verifieddebchan20152024-08-21Clean, comfortable, convenient - great value for money Always stay here when in Glasgow. Great location for easy access to both town centre and west end. Comfortable beds and great cooked breakfast. Rooms vary in size and are basic but have everything you need including safe, hairdryer and tea/coffee. My only small gripe - I can live with the towels not being changed every day unless they need it but really really do want my dirty coffee cup exchanged for a fresh one! The fan in my room was broken too but sadly not warm enough to need it. Overall excellent value for money!VerifiedLucy2024-08-08Friendly hotel in a great location We had a very warm welcome from Alan who recommended some places to eat and things to do. The room was very comfortable if a little small for all the furniture in it, lots of it could just come out in our opinion to give more room around the bed etc! Ensuite was nice and modern. The room for us was hot at night even on a cool Scottish summer's day but there was a fan so that helped. Brilliant location for us were at SWG3 all weekend and it was an easy and safe walk there and back also so close to Kelvingrove Park and lots of nice historic roads with beautiful buildings. We were very happy 😊.VerifiedSteve R2024-07-24Comfy and quiet in great location Lovely hotel on quiet street close to Kelvingrove Park and easy walk to city centre and Finnieston. Blackout curtains, great for Summer sunrises at 4.30am, and super comfy bed. Communication from manager Kevin at hotel to make sure I got there OK and a warm, friendly and easy check-in. Would gladly stay again and recommend to friends.VerifiedCharlie74862024-07-22Long weekend in Glasgow Location was good, especially if you want to go to Kelvingrove Museum and it was perfectly safe. The bed was comfy, room was adequate size even if I only had a single bed and the staff friendly. If I am going to Glasgow again, I would stay at this lovely place again.

Kinzi Campbell2024-09-19The Acorn hotel was a great place to stay while we explored Glasgow. The rooms were clean and comfortable, aside from the bed which was quite lumpy and had a steep slant to it. Aside from the bed, the two men who worked at the front desk were incredibly polite and helpful and made a great breakfast. Breakfast was homemade and very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone looking for a decent place to stay without overspendingHeather Phillips2024-09-19Great spotLarry Shireley2024-09-16Enjoyed the stay at the Acorn hotel. Kevin was a joy & took good care of us. The location is good; within a short 20 minute walk to Kelvingrove museum and Glasgow University. Walk to bus stop is less than 5 minutes. Plenty of eating places within a short walk and a Tesco Express about 10 minutes away. Would certainly recommend staying at the Acorn.Kyle Veech2024-09-15Our host Alan was "the best", very helpful and gracious and friendly.Reise Bar752024-09-10Great staffFranklin Green2024-09-08Alan at the front desk took care of all of our needs, from greeting us on our late-night arrival, serving us a wonderful breakfast, sharing suggestions for our morning activity and even offering to hold our luggage after check-out. The Acorn was a lovely pit stop for our travels between Skye and London.
