When Glasgow hosts a 10k or Half Marathon such as the AJ Bell Scottish Run, something special happens. Communities come together to support all participants, the city celebrates its ability to raise money for such a worthy charities and athletes of all ages and abilities descend to raise much needed funds for a great charity. On Saturday, the 1st of October you are invited to enter the next AJ Bell Scottish Run. Choose to enter the 10k or Half Marathon event. The fee to enter starts from £10k and a junior and mini event also takes place on Saturday, making it truly inclusive for all the family.

It’s hard to put into words how special this event is, the atmosphere is electric as runners enjoy the route that passes by some of Glasgow’s best loved landmarks in and around the city centre and along the river Clyde.

The impact of the sponsorship money raised on the chosen charities is impossible to put into words. Every penny and pound raised goes towards helping the following charities do their invaluable work at a time when it is so badly needed. This year’s worthy charities include Mind, Cancer Research UK, British Red Cross, Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, Glasgow’s Children’s Charity, MND Scotland, Parkinson’s Scotland, Beatson Cancer Charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, Stroke Association, and several other charities, all in need of support.
