Summer Deal – 10% Discount!
It’s that time again. When we get all giddy and excited over revealing our upcoming deals. Okay, so maybe we don’t get out much – don’t judge us, please – we’re just always happy to save you a few bucks wherever we can. That’s because we know that that money can be put to excellent use getting out and about exploring our city. Plus, we’re sure that once you’ve experienced the real Glasgow, you’ll be back for more!
There are a ton of hotel options in the city, so why choose us? Well for one, we’re giving all guests who book a stay at the Acorn Hotel from 29th June to 8th July a sweet discount of 10% off the room rate. These dates just happen to correspond with one of Scotland’s biggest events of the year – TRNSMT festival. It wasn’t on purpose, honest! Seriously though, we’d love for you to round off your trip to one of the UK’s best new music events with a few nights at our hotel. You’ll be getting bargain prices, excellent customer service and a super-soft bed to collapse into at the end of a busy day (and night, we’re sure!).
We’ll let you decide your own schedule if you’re heading to TRNSMT, but here’s a few ideas of what to see and do outside of the muddy-field environment. And don’t forget, if you’re not the music type, these activities are still very much must-sees!
Lunch at Singl-End
This award-winning brunch and lunch spot serves up homemade delights daily. Drool over their astounding cake selection, proudly displayed atop a wooden table at the entrance, or be intrigued by Middle Eastern-inspired brunch options complete with spicy baked eggs and mixed beans. It’s dog friendly so you’re bound to see a cute pooch or two too!
Sing your heart out at alternative karaoke
The Flying Duck is known for being an inclusive, gender-neutral welcoming, vegan-friendly haunt. Its somewhat dingy but always interesting doors are open for all, so take a wander down the magic staircase into this alternative underworld. The last Friday of the month sees karaoke being hauled into another dimension with drag acts and no-holds-barred tunes bellowed out by folk who may or not may not be tune! A night to remember for sure.
See the city on foot
One of the best ways to get around Glasgow is on foot. It’s not the smallest city in the world so you will put the miles in but the buildings, scenery and culture you’ll see along the way more than make up for any potential blisters. Walking Tours in Glasgow run two and a half hour routes, 7 days per week, and prices are just £10 per adult with discounts for concessions and kids. You’ll take in the People’s Palace, Templeton Factory, George Square, Cathedral, Necropolis and more, so you’re certainly getting your money’s worth!
To get in on the action with this month’s deal all you need to do is book direct via the Acorn Hotel website. Enter the code, TRNSMT, when prompted and the discount’s all yours!
