Alert! Get 10% Off Your November Stay!
It’s that time of the month again, when we go all silly and start slashing our prices for direct bookers. The Acorn Hotel website is where you’ll find the most up-to-date availability and the best rates guaranteed. As a little incentive to bookmark our page and book direct, we also offer regular discounts with the promo codes only redeemable through our dedicated site.
This time around, we’re giving all guests a 10% discount on their room rate, any day of the week, throughout November. Just pop the code 10OFF in online before you check out, and you’ll see the digits drop! It’s good timing too, as November tends to be when we all start trying to save some extra pennies for Christmas. But there’s no need to scrimp on breaks away with fantastic deals like this one from the Acorn Hotel. While you’re here, you’ll only need a minimal budget to have fun too – read on to find out more.
Glasgow on a Budget
See the City on Foot
While we can boast great subway, rail and bus links right throughout the city, there’s no better way to get acquainted with the Glasgow streets than on your own two feet. Our hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the city centre so you’ll have no trouble reaching it with minimal effort. Plus, you’ll be able to take in the sights and sounds of Sauchiehall Street en route, walk up towards Garnethill to take a peek at The Tenement House (from the outside only, fees apply inside) and see the new Glasgow School of Art rebuild taking shape after a second devastating fire.
The Glasgow Mural Trail
Continuing our exercise-friendly cultural tour, why not have swatch (Glasgwegian for look) at a few stops on the Glasgow Mural Trail? Celebrating the city and wider country’s history through a series of innovative paintings on disused wall space, local artists have been successful in making some of the city’s least beautiful areas places of interest once again.
Museum of Transport and Tall Ship
With a vast collection of transport of all forms – from push bikes to canoes – the museum is a worthy venue for an afternoon’s cultural and historical education, plus, it’s fun! There are interactive exhibits and regular events to take part in and the Tall Ship will have little (and not so little) ones making like pirates as they feel the gentle sway of the River Clyde beneath them. Both attractions are free to all visitors – bonus!
Grab a Milk Ice at a Traditional Glasgow Ice Cream Parlour
Not exactly free but not break-the-bank expensive either. A tea and ice will set you back a few pounds but it’s worth it to see the interiors of the likes of D’Jaconelli’s and The University Café, both of which have barely changed since they opened over six decades ago.
So, with a 10% discount on all room rates from the Acorn Hotel, plus our handy guide to Glasgow on a budget, there’s nothing stopping you from paying us a visit!
