Extended Easter Offers!
Easter is set to come a little earlier than usual this year but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop when the kids go back to school. And who says the kids should get to have all the fun at that time of year anyway? There’s plenty to see and do that isn’t chocolate or bunny-themed, and we’re here to make sure you don’t miss out on any of it.
Glasgow has a great year-round events calendar and is a fantastic city to visit in any season – just bring your umbrella along and you’re always covered! Weather aside, we’ve got art galleries, museums, a restaurant selection second only to London (disclaimer: no official stats on that one but we’re pretty sure of it!), craft beer haunts in practically every neighbourhood and wide-open park spaces to tempt you into exploring on foot.
With all that in mind, it’s handy then that the Acorn Hotel is offering guests who stay with us in April a 10% discount – don’t say we’re not good to you! Our offer is active now and all you have to do is book direct through our website and enter the code, EASTER10, when prompted to do so. It’s a great way to save a little extra money before the summer holidays and give yourself the chance to unwind at the same time. Hotel deals come cheap at the Acorn Hotel but inspiration is free, so read on to discover our quick-fire top three hidden gem experiences in Glasgow.
Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre
Moving sculptures created by master craftsman Eduard Bersudsky in the eighties, these captivating machines tell the story of the circle of life set to a beautiful lighting theme and moving soundtrack. Catch their touring show until the 24th April too.
Trongate 103, Wednesday to Sunday year-round.
Covering 37 acres of the city’s land, this cemetery is home to some of Scotland’s most famous folk from history. Expect fascinating architecture, religious sculpture work and a captivating view from the second highest hill in Glasgow. Tours are run by The Friends of Glasgow Necropolis three times per month.
Arlington Baths Club
Not your average local pool, trust us. The Arlington Baths are housed in a grade A listed, Victorian bath house and feature a 21-metre skylit swimming pool, Turkish suite, sauna, steam room, slipper baths and hot tubs. A great place to unwind after a morning of sightseeing. If you’re feeling brave, you can even try skinny dipping on Sunday evenings with Glasgow Continental Club.
62 Arlington Street. Open until 9:30pm seven days per week.
A simple one but a good ‘un none the less. Queen’s Park is one of the largest areas of greenspace in Glasgow and offers everything you could want from a slice of urban-based nature. There’s a nursery (plants, not children!), tennis courts, bowling lawns, forest and view-point where you’ll be treated to one of the best outlooks in the city. Choose a sunny day and get wandering.
So, with a slice of inspiration in hand, it’s time to book that day off work and head to Glasgow for a long weekend to remember. The best offers for the Acorn Hotel can be accessed by going direct to our website and be sure to enter EASTER10 at the checkout to receive your 10% discount.
