They describe themselves as “Mór than just a great bar”, and who are we to argue? One of Glasgow’s most popular entertainment venues is found at the top of Byres Road, and offers an incredible mix of live music, dining, theatre, entertainment and so much more. You may even be staying with us in advance of attending a wedding or corporate event there. A must visit for night owls in Glasgow.

A ticketed event at the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow, usually means the megastars are in town. It has played host to such events as the Commonwealth games, MTV Music Awards and outside of current restrictions can host over 14,000 ticketholders. Just 20 minutes by foot from the Acorn Hotel is one of Glasgow’s most diverse and distinctive venues, SWG3. Located in Finnieston, it offers a mix of creative spaces for work, play, entertainment and more. A popular event includes Bongo’s Bingo, which really cannot be explained, it must be experienced! Isn’t it amazing to this that this venue is almost 100 years old? This iconic open-air venue which consists of a bandstand and amphitheatre can be found in Kelvingrove Park, just a short hop from the Acorn Hotel.  Many local and visiting bands and choirs can be heard performing there on any given day.

Room 2
Live gigs, comedy, and live clubs are on the agenda at Room 2. A relatively new venue that opened just before restrictions hit, it’s one of the most popular nighttime venues in Glasgow just now. All current listings are available on the website.

La Cheetah Club
Rated as one of the UK’s top 25 clubs by Mixmag, it has gained a reputation as one of the finest clubs in Glasgow. If electronic music is what your searching for, make sure to stop by La Cheetah Club on your next visit to Glasgow.

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut
Ask most Glaswegian’s to recommend a night time music venue, and we can take a punt that King Tut’s is going to be on the list. So many successful artists have performed here in the past including Radiohead, The Killers, Pulp that it remains popular for good reason.

Stereo
What do you get if you cross Charles Rennie Mackintosh with live music? The answer is Stereo. You’ll find this beautiful building is home to a cracking club in the city centre of Glasgow. Most definitely worth a visit.

The 13th Note
Open your mind and experience the wonderful world of the 13th note. Most nights you’ll hear the best of talent performing here from its basement. Also, a wonderful place to enjoy some veggie food beforehand.

Broadcast
Open until 3AM each night, Broadcast offers a full immersion into nonstop music from 19.00. Gigs, clubs and other live events are on the listed on their website.

Platform
If you are not sure what exactly you are looking for when it comes to night time entertainment in Glasgow, Platform could be a great find. A superb food and drinks venue, it is also home to a microbrewery and offers live music events and your platform DJ is there to make sure there’s always something going on.

The Garage
With 4 levels of entertainment, the garage has weekly club nights and a wide variety of gigs playing on any given night. The venue is located on Sauchiehall Street and is popular with the locals.

Mono
One of the smaller venues we’ve listed, Mono has a cool and hip vibe going on. Located in merchant city it oozes charm and has some great gigs lined up for 2022. Upcoming artists include Kristin Hersh, Commoner’s choir and Torres. It’s also worth stopping by the café too.

The Old Hairdresser’s
A packed line up of gigs, short film screenings, and comedy acts are heading to The Old Hairdresser’s this year. Down at Renfield Lane is where you’ll find this venue that fits so well into the nighttime scene in Glasgow.

Nice N Sleazy
Head down to 421 Sauchiehall Street where anything goes. The clubs’ listings page is a who’s who of acts as diverse as you could imagine, and that’s why people love Nice N Sleazy.
