Eric S2024-04-16I’d stay here again. Super comfortable beds nice views from the room we were in, nice space in general. Great location. My only complaint: nothing but decaf coffee in the room! Somebody needs to ensure the staff pays attention to that. Excellent location by the park. Note; we did t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Lots of great cafes nearby.
Bob S2024-04-10Great value Glasgow hotel We have stayed at many hotels in the UK. This one is terrific. Very clean and quiet, which is a big plus for my light sleeper husband. It’s close to many good eateries(recommend the Ox and Finch), as well as other attractions. Little things like real milk in the in room coffee service are a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were spotlessly clean and well presented, thanks to Karen and her housekeeping colleagues. Delicious veggie cooked breakfast with lots of choice at the self-service buffet. The Acorn is situated in a very nice area and a perfect location for nearby Kelvingrove attractions.
david s2024-04-07Visit to kings theatre. 2nd time staying here. Going to kings theatre.ideal Location, Small friendly hotel. Hotel manager books you in and cooks you breakfast next morning. Very pleasant helpful chap, and cooks a mean breakfast. Also offer you free coffee and tea throughout the day that the big chains don't. My wife has mobility issues so get a room on bottom floor as was arranged by email, and disabled parking right outside the front door that is free to blue badge holders. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting this end of town.
A L2024-04-06Great hotel, really handy to walk into city centre. Very comfortable and clean hotel. Breakfast was great. Proximity to city centre is great. Car parking needs a bit updating on website. Kerbside parking is limited to 3 hours in the daytime and costs £4 /h. The underground parking close by is £7 /d and is fine.

Manager Alan is the perfect host: friendly, knowledgable and a whizz in the breakfast kitchen every morning, rustling up a full Scottish breakfast to set you up for the day! For us it was the perfect stay, The Acorn will be our go-to hotel for future trips to Glasgow from now on.

The manager (Kevin) was excellent from meeting us when our taxi dropped off us, to assisting us when we brought food in with plates and silverware, to calling for maintenance on the new heater (was fixed within an hour). It appeared that Kevin was always there and always helpful. My husband had a medical issue on our second day and Kevin advised him to go directly to the emergency room. He called a taxi for him and advised the driver on where to take him. Everything worked out well. Stored our luggage for us upon our arrival and for a short time when we departed. Bed was extremely comfortable too!

The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was good value. We would recommend this hotel for anyone planning a stay in Glasgow.

I stay frequently and staff are excellenr. Recently recarpeted throughout, warm, comfortable and quiet. Secure entrance via buzzer on first arrival and the n via key card makes this feel secure for the solo traveller.

Rooms are nice, I would say you have more space than in other hotels I've visited. The only drawback is that at least my room didn't have a fridge but it wasn't a big problem because I didn't have the need for one.
